Penny pinching from Hampshire Conservatives is cutting free school bus provision

Conservative Councillors in Hampshire are axing free school buses for children who go to Roman Catholic or Church of England schools.

Children who have to travel over three miles to their secondary school, or two miles to their primary school to their choice of denominational school, will be hit.

What the County Council forgets is that Churches invest large amounts of money in providing these schools. This penny-pinching measure will hit many families who struggle to find fees. And it could end with the Council having to pay extra to cover the cost of school provision.
