Hampshire Liberal Democrats are celebrating another by-election win after gaining a seat in Farnborough.

Labour finished fourth and the BNP saw their vote fall back as the Lib Dems campaigned strongly on local issues.

The Result:

Tory 445 37.3 (down from 44.9%)

BNP 137 11.5 (down from 16.9)
